life. He and his wife Gloria were both
born and raised in the Ruby Valley. They
have three adult children, Jake, Stephanie and Colin, and eleven grandchildren
who also live in the area. Neil and Gloria own a cattle ranch just West of
Sheridan, which they operate with Jake and his family. Rick SandruRick is a third-generation Montana rancher,
currently operating the family ranch in Twin Bridges. Rick is Ruby Valley Stock
Association President; Southwest Montana Stockmen Association Director; Ruby
Valley Conservation District Supervisor; Montana Stockgrowers' Association
member; and Montana Public Lands Council member. LJ grew up on the east slope of Colorado on his Grandfather's 1,000 head calf/cow ranch. Growing up, LJ worked cattle side by side with his Grandfather and learned how to break horses with him. In 1995, he moved to the Western Slope of Colorado, where he worked building fence and running cattle. LJ and Kristi were married in 2002 and were very involved in running her families ranch as well. They moved to Montana in 2006 with their two daughters, Tyler and Kyle. They now live at the Ladder Canyon Ranch on the East Bench with LJ’s family. Together the family runs cows at home and summers cattle in the Ruby. LJ ranches as well as works as a fence contractor year round. | Shirley Galovic, RVCD AdministratorShirley has worked for the Ruby Valley Conservation District Board as their District Administrator since 1994. Together with her husband Gene and all their horses, dogs and cats, she lives on a small acreage on the East Bench near Twin Bridges. Shirley is a native Montanan and has lived in the state all her life. Shirley has been very active in local grazing and water issues in Madison and Beaverhead County. Before working for the CD and the Ruby Watershed Council, she worked in the oil business, law offices and for a utility company. |
